My heart is still in Africa. I will never forget those five days in Uganda. The dedication of the new well was a celebration of life. Our friends in Buloba expressed their unconditional love and gratitude with hugs, handholding, smiles and tears. Their happiness despite the stark reality of their existence was humbling. The children’s laughter was contagious. Riding the “mission bus” and waving to those we passed was just plain fun. The worship services of Ggaba and Buloba were an expression of uninhibited joy in praising our Lord and Savior. You could feel the Holy Spirit.
It was such a privilege to be a part of the Mission Team from Cornerstone. Rick and I will be eternally grateful to Andi. We deeply appreciate all the prayers that helped guide us.
On Sunday, October 5th, the Ggaba Church choir
sang, “This is the air I breathe” by Michael W. Smith. I was so touched by the words that I
made notes in my devotional. One
week later, during the worship service at Calvary Chapel in Fort Walton Beach,
the choir sang, “This is the air I breathe” by Michael W. Smith.
My heart is still in Africa.
