When I think of my experience in Uganda, it is hard to write only 1-2 paragraphs. So many things happened and I met so many beautiful people. I was so nervous about this trip because its main focus was relational, which is not a strong point of my personality. However, I can’t even begin to describe how much I want to go back tomorrow. If able I would be on the plane in a second, headed to Buloba to share in the worship of Christ Jesus. Never have I met a people so bent on loving Christ and sharing that love with others. Never. I traveled to Buloba, Uganda to share the love of Christ, but came away understanding that love in a way that I had never known. Truly I was the one blessed.
As we worshipped with our brothers and sisters in Christ, I could not help but think about one day being in heaven doing that very same thing---worshipping with every tongue, every tribe, and every nation. Surely, it was a preview of things to come that I was privileged to be a small part of. My wife, Jenna, and I are already in the process of planning to go on the next trip over, because in only the 5 days that we spent in Uganda, we connected with family members that we never knew we had; family members that we can’t wait to see in just a few months. So to Andi: Thank you for your leadership and the love that you have for the people of Uganda. To anyone thinking of going on the next trip: Go. Never will you return from a trip feeling so blessed to have gone.
