Okay, after my semi- tirade about politics the other day I wanted to have a little confession. I LOVE politics! umm NO.Just wanted to share a little something about my trash can.
Here goes:
I am working diligently on trying to stay ahead of things. I am currently downloading the November Curriculum for KidzTown. Yep- I said NOVEMBER. While I wait for it to download I thought I would clean up my desktop (as in on my computer). My Mac likes to dump files all over the desktop when I download or open stuff sometimes. So I am clicking away and dragging to the trashcan. By the way, I love the trashcan sound when I throw stuff way. Anyway... I realized I just dragged Gratitude into the trash! The file I was currently downloading. So I drug it back to the desktop where it belonged as I thought "I just threw gratitude in the trash."
I know, some of you see it coming. The question- When was the last time I threw Gratitude in the trash? Too quick to move on to other things and not take a minute to be grateful. Grateful for where I am, where God is taking me, the friends in my life, my family, the seemingly mundane things... You know, like having friends to be frustrated with, that will still be friends tomorrow. Like being able to go to the ridiculously big store and gripe about waiting for 3 minutes in line. Having people in your world to challenge you to trust, hope, and laugh more (even when challenge is a little in your face and it hurts.)
So make sure your gratitude didn't get dragged to the trash. Take a minute to thank the Lord for where you are and maybe even pick up the phone to call someone and express your gratitude for their place in your life.
