So...just wanted you to have a good laugh with me...hopefully or maybe you will just roll your eyes. Either way, hope it is entertaining...
And no, this really has little to do with missions today...
Decided that I was going to take my friend's advice. But don't have the money to go to some fabulously extravagant place (or just a "place") to get away, so I made my own. Headed off to wally world yesterday morning (yep, my favorite place) and bought some essentials. Crayons, coloring book, food (usually don't have any here), fudgesicles, new book (already done with it), and a swimming pool. Yep, I said swimming pool. The old school, hard plastic 2 foot deep kind. Here is what happened...
Step 1- take out of box and lay on ground. I knew what to do from there. Try to stand it up while the pool fills, keep straightening it out as it fills. Then enjoy. WELL, easier said than done. This is what ended up happening (see picture, click for better resolution).

After I got my friend the ladder, a bucket with weight in the bottom, bottle of windshield wiper fluid, and a jar of applesauce- no sugar added (just purchased at wal mart) I noticed step 2 on the box the swimming pool came in. It explained that 2 or 3 people might be helpful. Duh.
And in case you don't have kids, or your kids are older...I am feeling for you. Man, it takes a long time to fill up the pool... mine is half filled. Don't want the neighbors seeing me floating around- that is too weird. Plus all i want to do is float and I don't want to pay a larger water bill than necessary.
Soooo, there it is. Best idea I have had around 709 Shamrock all summer. If you get bored, or an itch for a float, come on over. The water is fine. No water wing floaties required. I will update you on what God is teaching me later...still in process on that. <
HaHa that's great! The good old days! I have a pool you can come over and float in if you want. Haley would love to float with ya. She really is part fish.
They way I used to do it was get in the pool while it's filling up and push out on the edges a little at time as the water continues to fill the pool. The goal would be to get all of the wrinkles out of the bottom and the sides work themselves out as the water fills.
