Some of us woke to the muslim call to prayer at 5am. We found out that a muslim institute is right next door. We have plans to sing really loudly on our balcony one night for them. : )
We went to the bank then headed to Gaba church to get a tour, visit with some kids and see the school. We decided to get more bibles to give to the church so we stopped by the Bible house. We had lunch at Fase 2- a Muzungu (white people) restaurant. It was a mixture of American and Ugandan food. Then we went down to Buloba.
We were greated by Pastor Eva, Assoc. Pastor Charles and quite a few smiling happy church friends. Eva showed us the church buildings and we walked to the land the church wants to purchase. Then we took a visit to the run off well. The Buloba Community Church
Some fun things- Mike got to take a nap on the porch after we got back (see picture). Josh and Mike had to do some toilet maintenance to make sure they had flushing power. And I still haven’t found my flashdrive. I am convinced it fell out while I was going into the bank to get our 3 million shillings.
Our devotion today was a review of 1 Peter 4:10-11 and Psalm 67. These are the passages that we have “parked” on in our Missions program at CUMC. It was good to just begin to see those passages in a new way here in Uganda
Tomorrow we will be going around Buloba on a prayer walk then working on contstruction of the church building. It will be our first day of the 3 meal Ugandan food. So we officially become non tourists tomorrow. (And I can't wait to tell you about what happened today- on Thursday....check back tomorrow!)
Can't wait to hear the next update... I bet Hiram was like a rock star to them when he arrived, that's great.
(Pics are not showing up on the blog if you are adding any, couldn't tell if you meant to or not?)

My bad, all I had to do was actually look in the photo album... grief, like I have never operated a computer before, sorry.
